QUALITY INGREDIENTS FROM AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND AND OVERSEAS

At Bulk Nutrients we often get emails asking exactly where our ingredients come from. We are all to happy to discuss this, as we are extremely confident that the ingredients we use in all of our products are the best money can buy. Having been manufacturing and formulating supplements for over 6 years, we have sampled goods from just about every relevant producer.

Our Whey Protein Isolate is from New Zealand, the same cross and ultra filtered WPI used in the most expensive products. The dairy who manufacturers this (one of the world's largest) supplies it to some of the biggest brands in Australia, New Zealand and the U.S where it is used in their companies premium products.

Our Whey Protein Concentrate is manufactured in Australia. There are two Australian made WPC's available to manufacturers, the WPC we use is higher in protein, lower in carbohydrates and fat and not surprisingly costs about 20% more. Some popular brands utilise the cheaper version available, while us (and the better companies whose products are generally very expensive) use the superior one.
If your protein tends to froth up when mixed, then chances are the brand you are buying contains the cheaper WPC.

Our Calcium Caseinate and Micellar Casein are from the same N.Z company which manufactures our WPI. Again, the highest quality we can find, export quality sent to all corners of then world.

Amino Acids and their origin is always an interesting topic.....

It's nice to be able to set the record straight on this one. What most people don't understand (and what big companies will never tell you) is that nowadays 99%+ of amino acids are manufactured in China. That means almost ALL of the big brands utilise amino acids from China. Infact amino acids from China are so popular that now only a few countries, Korea and Japan, as examples even make any aminos at all. If you are buying amino acids from any brand they will be almost always without exception be of Chinese origin, as over the last 5 years the quality in China has become exceptional.

Now, regardless of origin there are ways to maintain the best quality, which we always do. For the last 3 years we have only dealt with the one manufacturer who's products are the best we have found.
We buy all our aminos and extracts directly from them, importing up to 6 tonnes at a time. Buying big means better pricing that we can pass onto our customers. We always demand the finest specs available (highest grade quality) all of which meet U.S pharmaceutical standards. Best of all, as we order such large quantities almost all of our aminos are made fresh especially for us!

Our Carbohydrates come from a large Australian company with the Waxy Maize Starch actually manufactured in Australia. While all of their Dextrose and Maltodextrin are now manufactured overseas, the strictest quality is maintained on all carbohydrates.

Perhaps the biggest difference between all of our range and competitors products, despite price is what happens to our raw ingredients. In times when companies have increasing overheads many look to reduce costs by adding fillers to water down purity and production cost. Just look at any ingredient panel for evidence of this, with some companies having more than 10 different additives in fillers in their proteins!

With Bulk Nutrients only the absolute necessary ingredients are added. That means all of our aminos remain 100% pure, and to our flavoured proteins only the essential flavour and sweetener is added.
