Cricket is a sport that requires skill, speed and endurance depending on the player specialty and in Australia, often involves playing in challenging hot conditions for extended periods of time.
Although considered a summer sport, those in serious competitions will often start training and conditioning during winter and spring to ensure they are in peak form. Training can be from 1-2 days a week, up to 5-6 days a week, depending on what level you are playing.
A sport based around skill, concentration and strength, you’ll find cricketers in the gym working on the weights as well as on the pitch practicing. We recommend BCAA Recovery as a go-to drink during training and matches to kick start the recovery process, Cognitone to aid focus, Recuper8 for during long format games and Joints Capsules to help repair joint damage.
