MALTODEXTRIN

Maltodextrin is a multiple chained carbohydrate with weak bonds that are easily broken down - so it is also absorbed quickly. It is derived from corn and has a higher osmotic value than dextrose so will likely be gentler on the stomach for those who are sensitive to dextrose.

For a great card combination mix maltodextrin with dextrose at a 50/50 ratio. This combo will maintain a high molecular weight but will be absorbed more rapidly thanks to the dextrose.

This combo can also be added to our flavoured or plain WPC for a high quality “Bulking� product at an unbeatable price.

Dosage

Like Dextrose, Maltodextrin has a rapid effect on insulin levels and blood glucose. When used in combination with dextrose it works very well in creating a carbohydrate blend which has high osmolality, which is quickly absorbed. Those who have problems with bloating from Dextrose may prefer to use maltodextrin due to its higher molecular weight.
