Product Description

We've recently sourced a new supply of Pea Protein and tweaked the flavours slightly. This has resulted in a superior taste and textured Pea Protein Isolate across Chocolate, Vanilla and Raw flavours.

All orders for Pea Protein Isolate placed after March 30, 2017 will receive the new and improved version.

Bulk Nutrients' 100% Organic Pea Protein Isolate

Pea Protein Isolate is a natural vegetable protein derived from peas. It's considered one of the best protein sources for vegans and vegetarians due to its balanced amino acid spread and high protein concentration.

A vegan friendly, natural protein powder

Bulk Nutrients' Pea Protein Isolate is derived from 100% organic Canadian yellow peas and is totally dairy, lactose, GMO and gluten free.

The amino acid spectrum is similar to whey and breast milk and it is considered one of the best vegan protein sources for both muscle growth and recovery.

Low in carbs but high in protein

Pea Protein Isolate from Bulk Nutrients averages at 83% protein and contains less than 5.5% of carbohydrates. Only the highest grade Stevia is used to reduce bitterness and the final ingredient is 100% natural flavours.

Great for sensitive stomachs

Pea Protein Isolate is free from common allergens such as lactose and soy, so it is an ideal protein for people with food intolerances.

Taste, texture and mixability

Bulk Nutrients' Pea Protein Isolate has a smooth texture, mixes well and produces a slightly thicker than normal shake.

It's also perfect to add to a smoothie or shake with fresh fruits like berries and bananas or immune-boosting yoghurt.

Combining with other proteins

Pea Protein Isolate is often combined with Rice Protein Isolate to achieve a superior amino acid profile than either protein alone.

Pea Protein Isolate is low in the sulfurous amino acids (cysteine and methionine) but rich in lysine; in contrast, Rice Protein Isolate is low in lysine but has high levels of both cysteine and methionine. The combination of Rice and Pea Protein Isolate also helps mitigate the strong, chalky taste of Rice Protein on its own.

This combination is considered by many to be among the best tasting protein powders and we have combined them optimally in our popular Earth Protein product.

We take extreme care when producing our vegan proteins, we have dedicated lines and machinery for our non dairy products to reduce the chance of cross contamination. Please be aware that we produce dairy proteins in the same facility, and despite our efforts there is a chance cross contamination (at very small levels) can occur

This is good stuff! The taste is pretty good too. Great in smoothies.

  • Hands down favourite vegan protein!

Posted by on Jun 06, 2017

My favourite vegan protein of all time. No nasties, good mix ability and I love the thickness of it.

As I mix my protein powder with water, I found this one just wasn't for me. Unfortunately I just couldn't get past the flavour despite trying really hard to like it as I love the idea of having a vegan protein. It's fine in smoothies, but not with water.

  • Great Well Priced Product!

We love this protein powder! Minimal flavour, easy to add to smoothies, and extremely well priced!
Loved it so much I wrote about it on my blog!

  • New pea protein

They changed the formula to make it better , it did take my taste buds a few try's to get used to the milder taste and thicker texture however I do still love it a lot. You can mix it super thick and it sets like a pudding/ mousse or I mix it with my oats and use the electric beaters and it whips up all light and fluffy. The vanilla chocolate and natural all basically taste the same now which is disappointing but mix it with some sugar free drinking chocolate or flavouring and it's fine

  • Great vegetarian protein

This pea based protein is a wonderful vegetable protein source that goes great in my spinach and blueberry smoothy.

  • Best pea protein I have tried!

Posted by on May 20, 2017

I have been exercising for nearly 7 years in the gym and have tried dozens of different proteins. I settled for pea protein in 2015, but now I have finally found one that works so well for me! I personally like the flavour, and like how it is a bit thicker... the vanilla is my preference and I have seen progress in my training since taking this supplement.

No stomach aches, gas and digests well with or after breakfast!

    Give it a go!

  • Use liberally, creatively

Posted by on May 01, 2017

Although not a Vegan personally, always looking for ways to jazz up my repertoire of recipes and protein sources.

Essentially the Pea Protein mixes well, texture is thicker than whey isolate powders, taste is very mild and palatable as far a drinking goes. Frankly other pea protein brands have been bloody awful. Quite enjoy this one.

However, in pushing the envelope it's kinda groovy to get creative, experiment in the kitchen far beyond just using it as a snack or pre/ post workout drink. Here are some thoughts:

    1. The smooth chocolate 'cocoa' flavor is easily shifted to the 'background' when combined with other ingredients, adding depth to your recipes.

    2. The advantage of the thicker texture is the ability to mix in other 'chunky' ingredients either savory or sweet such as steamed veggies or fruit to create a kind of 'sauce' or 'soup'.

3). In other experiments mixed (at room temperature in blender- didn't heat the pea powder) with curry spices for my steamed veggies,

4). Used Mexican spices and chilies to create a healthily tweaked chicken mole' base- a recipe which requires keeping that chocolate (cocoa) flavor happening (wink).

5). Also tried using freshly cooked organic tomatoes, herbs and vegetables to create a yummy thick gazpacho soup.

Think laterally and have fun This pea protein is just so 'do-able'.

  • only suitable if you have no other options

thick and savory, this is only able to be cocked down with much more milk than you would normally have, I don't think it could be used with water or you would have cold soup, I used a lot of coconut water, and finished my KG, not terrible, but I'm glad I bought 1kg of it and 10kg of vanilla whey...

Extremely happy with my chocolate and raw pea protein powders! Very affordable and delivery was so quick! Have already recommended them to some friends and will be ordering more for myself.
