Meet Lara!

Lara is a Monash University Biomedical Sciences graduate who is currently undertaking a Masters Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics as well as a Personal Training certificate. She’s a busy bee with a passion for all things health and fitness.

After losing 20kg on her own weight loss journey, Lara discovered how much she loved eating nutritious food and looking after her body and will never go back!

A huge promoter of healthy living, Lara loves to inspire and motivate others on their own fitness quests, through popular social media pages and her personal blog.

Today, Lara is a fitness competitor with two ICN Victoria Overall Champion titles under her belt, in just two years of competing. She has competed at National and Worldwide levels and placed in both.

Q&A with Lara

1. What goals do you have for 2018?

My fitness goals for 2018 are to compete in Season B 2018 - I am aiming for IFBB in October 2018 and also the ICN shows in September and October. I want to bring a bigger and better package to the stage than I did in 2017.

I aim to continue my training throughout the year to ensure my competition prep is as smooth as possible. I am constantly pushing myself to improve.

I will continue my studies during this period along with working part time as I love to keep busy! But before I have to knuckle down for comp prep, there will be a few trips to Bali in the coming months so I am well rested for a huge year ahead!

2. What advice would you give to other women out there wanting to change their lifestyle like you did?

The best advice I have ever been given is “believe in yourself, because anything in possible”. I used to be so ashamed of my body, and knew that I needed to change. I needed to be happy, and to find myself. I found confidence I never knew I had, and pushed myself harder than I could’ve ever imagined, and today I am proud of the girl I am. I have never been happier or more confident in myself.

For those who struggle with body image, my advice would be that if you aren’t happy then do everything in your power to change it. There is no use complaining or feeling bad about yourself. Strive for change and believe that you can change.

3. What is your ultimate cheat meal?

If you know me, you know that my ultimate cheat meal is a BIG pizza. You will often find me spending my Friday nights trying out new pizza restaurants. My favourite is a BBQ chicken pizza with pineapple. I also have a slight obsession with fish tacos

4. Why do you enjoy being a Bulk Nutrients Ambassador?
