Product information:

Our Whey Protein Isolate (WPI) is a Low temperature Cross and Ultra Filtered WPI which remains completely undenatured. We believe it is one of the purest WPIs available on the market, with high levels of protein and lower levels of fats, carbohydrates and sodium. Our WPI is naturally rich in amino acids, particularly so the branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), Essential Amino Acids (EAAs) and Glutamine which ensures optimum muscle growth.

Whey protein isolate is separated during the process of turning milk into cheese. There are two major methods for manufacturing WPI, ion exchange filtration and ultra/micro filtration. Ion exchange filtration involves using hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide to separate proteins based on electrical charge. Due to the chemicals used in this process, some amino acids and nutrients can lose their value. However, this method does ensure that less fat and lactose are present in the final product. Ultra and micro filtration utilise semi-permeable membranes which allow small elements such as water, sugars and electrolytes to pass through, whilst preserving larger ones. The difference between ultra and micro is the size of the membrane pores – ultra filtration pores are about four times smaller. Cross flow filtration is a similar variation of this method. This process for WPI does not denature (damage) any amino acids or other nutrients.

Whey protein isolate is an especially concentrated form of whey protein. WPI is at least 90 percent protein as most of the fat and lactose in the product have been filtered out.

As Whey Protein Isolateis derived from milk and made up of short chain peptides, the body can easily absorb feeding your muscles in as little as 15 minutes. In fact, WPI has a more superior biological value (BV) than any other type of protein on the market. This means that it provides the largest useable amount of branched chain amino acids and other essential amino acids. Many manufacturers also add aminos such as l-glutamine & taurine. Due to its superior absorption qualities, WPI is the perfect post-training supplement immediately fueling muscles with vital recovery nutrients in this important nutrition window. Fats will slow the absorption of food but WPI can counter this and aid in more efficient digestion. Further to this, the fact that WPI contains little lactose (1.2 grams per 100g) means that most lactose intolerant people can use it without experiencing any of the nasty side effects.

The benefits of whey protein isolate do not end there. Studies have revealed a strong link to immune system protection and the ability to act as an anti oxidant, so much so that people with immune deficiencies have been known to supplement with it to increase anti oxidant levels. WPI can also increase glutathione levels, which may lead to decreased chances of developing prostate cancer. WPI is available in powder form and is usually slightly more expensive than whey protein concentrate (WPC) due to its purity factor. It is essential that protein is consumed daily, as the body cannot store it. The average intake is higher for athletes and bodybuilders at 1.3 grams to 2.0 grams per kilogram of body weight. WPI stacks well with other muscle building & strength supplements such as pre workout supplements, post workout supplements, GH supplements as well as testosterone boosting supplements including tribulus & ZMA.

Whey protein isolate is very important for bodybuilders, dieters just about everybody. Since athletes and bodybuilders work out often, protein levels become depleted. By being a direct precursor to building muscle and essential amino acids, such as glutamine (a muscle enhancer, endurance builder, and muscle deterioration reducer), the content from high quality WPI not only can, but will help one’s muscles recover and grow faster by bringing up the levels of protein. With dieting and those wishing to lose some extra fat, WPI can be very useful because a good intake of protein balances blood sugar levels, while carbohydrates cause blood sugar levels to fluctuate. When the blood sugar levels stay balanced, one is not as prone to rampant eating and has more energy and greater fat loss. Based in this information you could suggest that WPI allows a person to control his or her diet effectively. Most people who want to change their body for the better could benefit from whey protein supplementation, however, since protein is naturally found in many food items deficiency is usually not a problem.
