Double Choc Chips Protein Brownies

Recipe inspired by @tanyapoppett's Cookie Dough Protein Brownies recipe

Makes 12 squares


Ingredients

For the dark chocolate base:

  • 1 scoop (30g) Bulk Nutrients Earth Protein in Chocolate flavour
  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 1/2 cup cacao
  • 2 eggs 
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup 
  • 50g banana - mashed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup soy or almond milk 

For the white chocolate top:

  • 1 scoop (30g) Bulk Nutrients Earth Protein in Vanilla flavour
  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 1/2 cup soy or almond milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil or butter 
  • 1/2 cup choc chips

Directions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a small baking tin with baking paper.
  2. To make the dark chocolate base: Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl and slowly add the wet ingredients, stirring to form a thick batter.
  3. Pour into the lined tin and set aside.
  4. To make the white chocolate top: Place all ingredients except the chocolate chips in a food processor and blend until well combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Spread over the dark chocolate base layer.
  6. Place in the oven for 20-30 minutes or until set.
  7. Allow to cool before removing from the tin and slicing into 12 squares.
