How are protein lab tests conducted at Bulk Nutrients?
Our process is designed to be accurate and traceable from production to publication:
- Sample selection – Our Quality Assurance Manager randomly selects a finished product bag and seals a 60 g sample.
- Recording details – Batch, flavour, and production information is logged.
- Sending to the lab – Samples are posted to the NMI, a NATA-accredited government laboratory.
- Independent analysis – The NMI uses the Kjeldahl method to measure nitrogen, then applies a conversion factor to calculate protein content.
- Retention samples – Both the NMI and Bulk Nutrients keep backup samples for any retesting if needed.
The result is a precise, independent measurement published exactly as the lab reports it.
