Celebrating Our 2024 Recipients

While we’re getting ready for Bulk Gives Back 2026, we’re also taking a moment to look back at the incredible organisations supported through our 2024 program.

From sporting clubs and community groups to wellbeing initiatives, creative programs, environmental projects and volunteer-run services, the 2024 recipients showed just how much impact grassroots organisations can have across Australia.

Read on to see some of the people, places and groups Bulk Gives Back helped support in 2024.

The Power of Grassroots Support

Local organisations, largely driven by volunteers that are fuelled by passion, play a crucial role in building and sustaining vibrant, healthy communities.

Bulk Nutrients started small, in a regional area in Southern Tasmania. We know what it’s like to operate with limited resources, relying on the dedication and passion of a few to make a difference, which is why we have a deep appreciation for grassroots community groups.

These organisations are the backbones of their local communities. They understand the unique needs of their neighbourhoods and can make a small amount of money go a long way. They provide a safe space for their community to get together, develop shared interests and help improve the overall health and well-being of everyone involved.

Our Bulk Gives Back program was designed to provide these groups with the financial support they need to continue their important work. By spreading out $100,000 across 100 different organisations across Australia, we’ve aimed to reach as many communities as possible, ensuring our support will have a wide-ranging impact.

The Critical Role of Volunteers

Volunteers are the lifeblood of grassroots organisations – without them, many of these groups simply wouldn’t exist. These volunteers bring energy, enthusiasm, and a deep commitment to their communities, working tirelessly to ensure that programs and services are delivered to those who need them most.

In recognising the vital role volunteers play, we wanted our Bulk Gives Back program to help these community champions amplify their efforts. Whether it’s a sporting club providing kids with uniforms and equipment to play, or a meal provision program ensuring vulnerable people can have access to nutritious food, we know even a small amount of funding can empower volunteers doing extraordinary things.

Supporting a Diverse Range of Community Initiatives

Meet the people, places and faces behind our 2024 Bulk Gives Back winners!

Empowering Physical Activity and Participation in Sport

One of the key areas we focussed on with our Bulk Gives Back program was supporting local sporting clubs. These clubs provide so much more than just an opportunity to play a sport – they offer a sense of belonging, promote physical and mental health, and foster community spirit.

We’ve supported a huge range of sports and recreational activities… including football, netball, basketball, soccer, dragon boating, rugby, running, breakdancing, mountain biking, swimming, horse riding, water polo, Gaelic football, ultimate frisbee, skateboarding, softball, canoeing, cricket, squash, roller derby, cycling, croquet, martial arts, life saving, scouts, and wheelchair basketball. By providing financial support to these groups we aren’t just helping them purchase equipment and maintain facilities, we’re investing in the future of their communities. We believe programs like these help young people develop essential life skills including teamwork, discipline and resilience.

Who knows, maybe the next sporting superstar will emerge from one of these grassroots programs!

Supporting Youth and Vulnerable Populations

Another key focus of Bulk Gives Back 2024 was supporting organisations with a focus on inclusion and support for young people and vulnerable populations.

In a world that can sometimes feel divided, these programs play a crucial role in bringing people together and ensuring nobody is left behind. Whether it’s through education support programs, robotics clubs that inspire young minds, or farm visits that bring joy to dementia patients, these organisations are making a tangible difference in the lives of those they serve.

Kindness and empathy programs are vital in building a more compassionate society, and we are proud to support these initiatives through Bulk Gives Back.

Building Health Communities and Ensuring Food Security

Bulk Gives Back also supported initiatives that promote healthy communities and aid with food security. In many areas across the country, particularly regional, rural and remote communities, access to healthy food and basic services isn’t guaranteed, and grassroots organisations are often the ones that step in and fill the gaps.

We’ve provided funding to a range of programs, from Landcare and community access centres to meal provision services and homelessness support. These organisations are working tirelessly to ensure everyone in their community has access to the essentials they need to thrive.

By supporting these groups, we’re helping to build stronger, healthier communities across Australia.

Helping to Foster Creativity and Improve Wellbeing

Here at Bulk Nutrients, we understand that a healthy community is about more than just physical health, it’s also about creativity and emotional wellbeing .That’s why in Bulk Gives Back we made sure to support programs that support the arts – including choir, drama groups, artistic endeavours and filmmaking initiatives.

These creative outlets give people a safe space to explore self-expression, as well as an opportunity to connect with other like-minded individuals, and a way to process their emotions in a supportive environment. By supporting these programs, we’re helping to nurture the mental and emotional health of these communities.

Enhancing Mental Health and Wellbeing

We’re committed to supporting initiatives that promote mental wellbeing. From walking groups that provide a social outlet alongside physical activity, to fishing programs for defence veterans that offer therapeutic benefits, we’ve directed Bulk Gives Back support towards a wide range of mental health initiatives.

We have also funded support groups for single parents, and services to those who are bereaved by suicide. These organisations are providing critical support to individuals facing some of life’s toughest challenges, and we’re proud to stand behind them and the important work they do.

Bulk Nutrients’ Ongoing Commitment to Grassroots Support

As we continue to grow as a company, we remain committed to supporting grassroots organisations making a difference in their communities. The Bulk Gives Back program is just one way we’re giving back to the communities that have supported us from the beginning.

We believe that by providing targeted financial support to small not-for-profits and charities, we can help to build healthier, more resilient communities where everyone has the best chance to thrive.

We’re proud of the impact we’ve made so far and we’re excited to continue this journey, working hand-in-hand with the grassroots organisations shaping the future of Australia.

We haven’t forgotten where we started, and we’ll continue to provide the support small organisations need to grow and succeed.

Together we can make a difference – one community at a time.
