Caffeine

Caffeine is a stimulant of the central nervous system which speeds up the messages travelling between the brain and the body. Caffeine is the world's most commonly consumed psychoactive drug, usually through the consumption of coffee and tea. The benefits of caffeine for sports performance are plentiful.

By activating the central nervous system, caffeine can combat fatigue and improve concentration and mental focus. Caffeine can also result in a reduced perception of effort and fatigue which allows athletes train harder for longer.
