Do your vegan proteins contain all essential amino acids?
Some do, but not all.
- Soy Protein is a complete protein, containing all nine essential amino acids.
- Rice Protein is high in the sulfur-containing amino acids, cysteine and methionine, but low in lysine.
- Pea Protein is low in cysteine and methionine but high in lysine.
That’s why rice and pea proteins are often blended together — like in our Earth Protein and Lean Earth Protein blends — to provide a balanced spectrum of amino acids similar to whey protein.
