Jacqui Bell
Before the age of 30, Jacqui Bell has accomplished more than many can say they've done in a lifetime. Her qualifications include fitness and sport diplomas from TAFE Queensland, but her background and experience speak for itself.
Jacqui has a background in tennis and has worked as a personal trainer since she was a teenager. At 19, she signed up to complete her first 50km running race - not knowing at the time this counted as an ultra marathon. She placed third, this just the start of her journey.
After battling health issues that impacted her mentally and physically, she found ultra marathon running therapeutic - setting herself a goal initially of running 250km across the Simpson Desert in Australia - known as The Big Red Run.
Jacqui then discovered Racing the Planet's 4 Deserts and decided to tackle the grand slam - gruelling races through the Atacama Desert in Chile, Mongolia's Gobi Desert, Africa's Namib Desert... and Antarctica! She raised more than $20,000 for charity The White Cloud Foundation.
In August 2019, she became the youngest person in history to run both an ultra marathon, and a multi-stage ultra marathon on all 7 continents across the world.
As well as her ultra marathon adventures (which are ongoing), Jacqui hosts regular Run Escapes in Queensland, branching out to Northern New South Wales, bringing together like-minded individuals for weekend retreats focussed on fitness, wellness, and mindfulness. She is also a personal trainer and can be found working hard at the gym - and when she's not, Jacqui is also a powerful and popular keynote speaker, sharing her story of rebuilding from the bottom and overcoming her struggles to reach new heights.
