Meet Record-Breaking Strongwoman and Coach - Camilla Fogagnolo
With 10 national titles, multiple world records, and a history of elite competition across Olympic lifting, judo, and strongman, Camilla Fogagnolo is no stranger to the podium - or the platform.
A fierce competitor and passionate coach, sheās on a mission to prove that strength is for everyone. From rehab to record lifts, she brings grit, science, and heart to everything she does.
Read on to find out what fuels her training, what she really thinks about cheat meals, and how she manages to dominate two weight classes.

Hey, I'm Camilla!
Iām an internationally ranked strongwoman, strength coach, and rehab specialist with a lifelong passion for movement, performance, and helping people feel at home in their bodies.
Since discovering strongman in 2018, Iāve been chasing big lifts and even bigger goals. Iāve been undefeated at Australiaās Strongest Nationals since 2019 across both the under 64kg and under 73kg divisions, and currently hold the world record in both weight classes for the Atlas Stone - lifting 153.1kg to a 1.2m platform. That moment represents years of discipline, dedication, and (letās be honest) some good old-fashioned self-punishment in training.
Before strongman, I represented Australia in Olympic weightlifting, including at the 2015 World Championships, and collected multiple national titles. My athletic roots are in judo, which taught me discipline, body awareness, and the value of resilience early on.
These experiences have shaped my approach to training, coaching, and rehab: I prioritise longevity, adaptability, and integrity - whether Iām working with athletes chasing world records or someone just learning to lift. I coach across multiple strength disciplines and work as a massage therapist, offering deep tissue therapy, dry needling, and injury prehab/rehab to keep people moving well and lifting long-term.
In 2025, I became the first athlete to win two weight classes (-64kg and -73kg) at the same Natural Strongman World Championships - something Iām incredibly proud of, especially as I helped establish the Australian pathway to Natural Strongman alongside my partner. Access and choice matter in sport, and Iām a big believer in creating more options for athletes.
I proudly fuel my training with Bulk Nutrients - no gimmicks, just real supplements that support real performance.
To me, strength is for everyone. Itās a foundation for health, confidence, and quality of life. I aim to be a living example of that - both on the platform and beyond it.
Recommendations
Here are some of the Bulk Products I love...

Vitamin C
Why I love it: I donāt have a huge supplement stack, but Vitamin C is my daily non-negotiable. I take 5g daily without fail, and up the dose if I feel a cold coming on. Itās been a game-changer for my energy, helps buffer lactic acid, and (touch wood) has kept me off the sick bed for over a decade.
How I use it: I mix a generous teaspoon of powder with half a glass of water and a splash of sugar-free cordial before bed. Itās seriously sour, so the cordial helps take the edge off!

Creatine Monohydrate
Why I love it: One of the most researched supplements in the world, creatine is known to boost ATP stores and support cellular rejuvenation - essential for maximising power output.
How I use it: I mix 5g (1 tsp) of creatine into my nightly vitamin C cocktail before bed.

Whey Protein Isolate
Why I love it: Itās a tasty and easy way to boost your daily protein intake!
How I use it: My go-to breakfast is protein porridge with oats, frozen berries, and WPI ā simple, nourishing, and packed with protein.

Protein Bar Multi Pack
Why I love it: These bars are seriously tasty, with a great texture - perfect for a satisfying snack that wonāt blow out your daily calories.
How I use it: A guilt-free snack at any time of the day.

Whey Protein Isolate
Why I love it: Another delicious and effortless way to boost my daily protein intake.
How I use it: Itās my second favourite flavour for whipping up a protein-packed porridge at breakfast!
My Approach to Nutrition
Iād say I have a really balanced relationship with food now, though that hasnāt always been the case.
When I left home young, I had little understanding of nutrition, and my weight rapidly climbed from around 60kg to over 100kg. Since then, Iāve learned the most effective method for sustainable weight loss: good old-fashioned diet and exercise.
That said, I donāt count calories or macros, and I donāt weigh my food. With my personality type, those practices can easily lead to disordered eating. Instead, I focus on structure and balance that works for me.
My daily routine usually includes a clean breakfast and lunch (when time permits), and dinner is whatever I feel like - luckily, I genuinely love salads, veggies, and meat. This also gives me space to enjoy treats without restriction, which I do most days.
I donāt believe in ācheatā meals - just ātreatā meals. Guilt has no place in a healthy relationship with food.
Average daily calorie intake: I have no idea!
Is there a type/style of diet you follow? A good old-fashioned high protein diet.
Are there any foods you avoid? During the day, I stick to high-protein, low-carb meals - that way, I can leave room to enjoy a treat after dinner!
Are there any foods you crave? Not really - I address my cravings as and when they arise.
What's your go-to cheat meal? I donāt have one! But I do love a good sourdough, Italian wood-fired pizza.

My Day on a Plate
Hereās what a typical day of eating looks like for me - simple, consistent, and designed to fuel my training and recovery.
Morning - I start the day with my staple, protein porridge:
- ¼ cup of quick oats, cooked in the microwave with water
- Stir through ¼ cup of frozen raspberries to cool it down
- Finish with a scoop of Bulk Nutrients WPI stirred in for a protein boost
Honestly, this never gets old!
During the day - Iām usually on the move, either coaching or training, so I donāt always have time for a dedicated lunch. Instead, I keep it flexible with things like:
- A Bulk Nutrients protein bar (or two!)
- Cucumber sticks with hummus
- A chicken salad, if I get the chance
Dinner - Usually something quick, tasty, and high in protein:
- Chicken or beef with salad or sautƩed greens
- Or beef mince cooked with broccoli and cauliflower, seasoned with garlic, taco spice, salt - whatever tasty mix Iām feeling that day
Snacks - Whatever I feel like, from pea chips to chocolate, cookies, or lollies.
Before bed - I wind down with a nighttime cocktail of:

Training Schedule
Due to the nature of strongman - where no two competitions are ever the same - I donāt follow a fixed program year-round.
I train strength and strongman-specific events four times a week, and aim to fit in two active recovery sessions (like walking, hiking, or jogging) to support overall health and conditioning.
Some staple movements stay in my programming all year long:
- Deadlifts: A must for posterior chain strength and full-body power.
- Front & back squats (and variations): Crucial for knee health, leg strength, and structural balance.
- Jefferson curls: Non-negotiable for maintaining lower back function and resilience.
- Push presses: Excellent for developing upper body drive and overhead strength.
- Power cleans: My personal favourite! They blend strength, power, coordination, and mobility into one technical lift.
- Split jerks: The most efficient way to get heavy weight overhead, with finesse.
- Heavy ab work: Foundational for core stability and lower back support.
