MCT Oils are a superior energy source
Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT Oils) are naturally occurring fats that are rapidly absorbed by the body and used for energy.
MCTs are unique as they're shorter chains than other fat sources. Because of this they're easily absorbed and digested making them a more readily available energy source. MCTs mimic the function of carbohydrates as they deliver energy, but unlike carbohydrates, they can also help to build lean muscle, burn fat and they also play a key role in the production of ATP.
They're especially beneficial for fuelling physical exertion given their high energy density content, rapid rate of absorption and quick metabolic conversion into cellular energy. Additionally, MCT Oil is beneficial post workout to prevent muscle breakdown and assist with muscle growth.
What's the difference between MCT Oil and Coconut Oil? Well, Coconut Oil does contain MCTs, however the predominant MCT in coconut oil is Lauric Acid (C12). While Lauric Acid is technically a MCT it acts more like a Long Chain Triglyceride as it can take longer to digest than other MCTs like Caprylic acid (C8) and Capric acid (C10).
Our MCT Oil contains Caprylic acid and Capric acid to ensure the fastest energy delivery possible.
Build muscle, burn fat
Supplementing with MCT Oil may assist with weight loss as it can help to suppress appetite and reduce cravings by increasing the feeling of satiation. Our MCT Oil is also lower in calories than other fats and unlike MCT powders is completely carb free.
Ideal for those following a keto or high-fat diet, our MCT oil is a great source of healthy fats and can help maintain the state of ketosis.
Adding MCT Oil to coffee
Tasteless and odourless, MCT Oil can be added to any meal to enhance its nutritional profile - in fact, it's the perfect accompaniment to your morning brew.
Combined with the stimulatory effects of coffee, MCT Oil can provide a much needed morning kick to get the body and brain ready for the day ahead. This combo also makes a great pre workout drink.
You can take MCT Oil as a shot, or go all out and add it to a smoothie or use it as a salad dressing. However you use MCT Oil, you'll be taking advantage of the variety of benefits it has to offer.
Bulk Nutrients' MCT Oil is manufactured in accordance with the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil).
A typical dose of MCTs is 1 teaspoon (approximately 5mls). This can vary depending on body weight and goals.
For those looking to improve performance, MCT Oil is best taken before activity, however for people looking to gain mass a dose before bed is common.

Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs) Reviews
Value for money. Bottle is leaky, but at least it came inside a sealed plastic bag. Bottle design doesn't pore so well. But like I said value for money.
The bottle does dribble like other people have said in reviews. But if you take the green lid of a fresh bottle of Sriracha chili sauce and use that instead it screws on fine.
It makes weighing/measuring out a portion a lot easier with no dribbles.
If you have it by itself as a shot and are having some problems with the taste mix it 50/50 with some soda water or plain water.
I have Crohn's disease and no large intestine. Since using these MCT's my appetite, digestion and energy levels are significantly better. I would reccomend anyone with GI issues give these a try.
My only beef is the bottle needs to be improved. Needs a tamper-proof seal and some form of easy-pour nozzle as there is some wastage down the side of the bottle when pouring. Otherwise a fantastic product.
Great product...easy to use....no obvious side affects......mixes well with protein shake in morning
This is the first time I have tried MCT's and they seem great - no taste, easy mix - will be ordering more.
Great product... only knock is might be too sweet.
Dont really like the taste but what are you gonna do? its oil
however the reason for the 3 stars is the bottle came in bent im assuming its from shipping ( it wasnt in a box )
This stuff is strong! If you're sensitive to caffeine, alcohol, etc. I'd strongly suggest taking a half dose in the morning. First 3 days I took a 'normal' dose before bed and...at 2am was still staring at the ceiling. I also felt pre-migraine symptoms: a bit yuck, sensitive to light/sound, etc. However, after a week I seemed better able to tolerate it and enjoy the focus it gives me. I also use it on my LD rides, as coconut oil is solid in Melbourne's winter months.
I found this MCT oil to be highly tolerable (no disaster pants) and it has a slightly sweet taste which is nice. I'm using it daily and find it is a great source of energy and keeps me in a mild ketosis when eating carbs. I am definitely buying again.
