Australian Waxy Maize Starch

Our Waxy Maize Starch is Australian made and has been selected for its extremely high molecular weight. Due to this it can travel rapidly into the lower intestine, this should lead to much faster glycogen uptake compared with regular short chained carbohydrates.

Many Waxy Maize Starch users find they can have large quantities with less issues of bloating than with other carbohydrates.

Blending Waxy Maize Starch with Glutamine, EAAs, BCAAs etc at a ratio of 3 : 1 (ie 30g carbs to 10g aminos) will ensure rapid delivery of your amino acids.

Dosage for Waxy Maize Starch

Consume 30g (approximately 1 scoop) of Waxy Maize Starch around training.

Combine powder with liquid and consume immediately.

    Basic, good value

Cheaper than any other waxy maize I could find, and you know you'll get it quickly because Bulk are great at getting your order to you. Mixes quickly enough, but it'll sink to the bottom of your shaker quite quickly so make sure to give it a good shake every time you go to take a sip. Gives your drink a sandy or dusty sort of feel but nothing unpleasant.

    Great Recovery

It tastes a little chalky and needs a decent mix but recovery is awesome. On a heavy training day I have 2 scoops of waxy and 2 scoops of protein. After about 20 minutes the feeling of fatigue starts to go away. Great product I would highly recommend it.

    Highly recommended

I bought this to stack with L Carnitine Tartrate to promote Carnitine uptake, but was worried that this product would hinder weight loss since it is a source of carbs and I am an endomorph. From personal experience (a good couple of weeks), I have observed significant, steady weight loss of about half a kilo a week with this product, so it comes highly recommended.

    Great for post workout

I mix the waxy maize starch with bulk nutrients WPI for an immediate post workout shake to get a good dose of protein and fast absorbing carbs. This carries me through the 30 minute drive to work where I then follow up with a more substantial meal. I like the fact that I can mix the protein and carbs myself to customise my post workout shake depending on what state my training is at.
