Calcium Caseinate Reviews
I too found it rather difficult to blend in my blender/shaker. But what i did do with reasonable success, was to mix it with a small tub of low fat Greek yogurt. This made a thick and somewhat heavy snack. It was still very bland, but I think if you mix it in with a low fat flavoured yogurt, it would reasonably pleasent. It would be filling
As others have mentioned, this is a very difficult protein to mix. The trick is shaking it to kingdom come using an up and down motion, ideally with both hands. Imagine an angry bartender. You really have to go for it to break down the clumps. Leave it for at least half an hour, this allows the foam to form. Throw in a few ice cubes and swirl to break down the foam. This should be the closest it’ll ever get to a non clumpy liquid.
The taste without flavouring is close to what I’d imagine chalk would taste like. Remember to pick out the scoop from the protein before you mix the flavouring in, otherwise you run the risk of getting a scoop of yuck.
This is not a protein I’d recommend to those who have the ability to digest lactose or don’t have to watch their carb intake too much. Take regular casein.
With all that said it’s an excellent protein for night time recovery. Low carbs and very little lactose (big plus for very sensitive people such as myself). I’ve been taking it for over a year now and really feel it helps with reducing soreness.
Protein % is great. Mixing is very difficult. Do not shake but stir.
This is a fantastic product, I use it to make protein custard and it blends nice and smoothly.

Haven't used Calcium Caseinate for nearly 40 years. Back then, it was the gold standard for milk protein. Whey was not available, as the technology to produce it had not yet been developed. CC is still as good as ever. I now mix it 50/50 with WPC to give the best of both. It's all anyone needs really...
I used Micellar Casein of an evening before bed for the slow release. I switched to this purely for the protein level, but in particular the almost non existent fat & carb level. I like it, but it is hard to mix. I'm finding I have to add a small portion of boiling water to try break it down and then add cold water. It works but is time consuming. If you don't break it down it can feel "gluggy" in your stomach. Helps mixing with a portion of other proteins. Any other suggestions would be great ?
Not the tastiest or the easiest to mix but i have never liked the consistency or taste of casein based proteins but i never bought it for the taste. Overall good product keeps my stomach at bay while i sleep never wake up in the middle of the night looking for a snack .
At first I found it does not dissolve quickly and leaves lumpy bits when I use a shaker. I discovered using a hand mixer dissolves it completely.
