Mug Cake Reviews
There average taste not to bad but goes hard very quickly when it cools down and is half size too,
Read the reviews for the Mug Cake and was excited to try a tasty replacement for my usual afternoon treat. Big mistake. Tried the variety pack and all options lacked flavour and were dry. They were not light, more dense than anything else. If you're looking for a tasty protein hit, I would recommend the straight up proteins as those flavours are right on point.
Was hoping for a fabulous treat. It’s ok, but not delicious. You have to be very careful not to overcook as goes rubbery very easily.
Have tried all the mug cakes over the years and only ever bought the one pack. Tried lemon cheesecake for the first time and I love it. Way better than the other flavours in my opinion and I will be back for more... Would love to try a caramel one???
Made as per instructions. Pretty tasty protein treat.
I read a lot of the reviews saying that the taste is 'incredible' or similar...so I was excited to try the mug cakes and ordered a mixed lot of the flavours. Yes, its quick and easy, but the taste is not great. They puff up to the top of the mug, looks great...until you remove it from the microwave and it collapses into half the size and lets say an unappealing look and taste. If you need the protein, have the mug cake as a fun way to boost it, but understand this is protein powder in a cake type of thing and is not a cake with protein.
This is such a quick and easy healthy snack when I am away working. I got the choc cherry, and even adding a couple of actual cherries on the top - hmmm so good!! Will try the banana next
After having purchased the choc cherry, which was incredible, I ended up purchasing the creamy banana flavour..which blew my mind!
I add 60mls of liquid to my cakes instead of the 70mls as I prefer the spongier consistency. ALSO, I like to put a teaspoon of peanut butter on top of the banana flavour allowing it to melt in.
**Please make 1kg pouches of this product!**
Great flavour, ive tried both but banana is the bomb ! I wish they did a mix pack - that would be killer :)
