Product Description

We are transitioning to a temporary new supplier of Pea Protein. It has the same great nutritionals, but tastes a little different. We’d describe it as a more ‘vegetable’ taste.

The temporary supply is not organic, and the peas are grown in the USA rather than Canada.

Bulk Nutrients' 100% Pea Protein Isolate

Pea Protein Isolate is a natural vegetable protein derived from peas. It's considered one of the best protein sources for vegans and vegetarians due to its balanced amino acid spread and high protein concentration.

A vegan friendly, natural protein powder

Bulk Nutrients' Pea Protein Isolate is derived from 100% USA yellow peas and is totally dairy, lactose, GMO and gluten free.

The amino acid spectrum is similar to whey and breast milk and it is considered one of the best vegan protein sources for both muscle growth and recovery.

Low in carbs but high in protein

Pea Protein Isolate from Bulk Nutrients averages at 83% protein and contains less than 5.5% of carbohydrates. Only the highest grade Stevia is used to reduce bitterness and the final ingredient is 100% natural flavours.

Great for sensitive stomachs

Pea Protein Isolate is free from common allergens such as lactose and soy, so it is an ideal protein for people with food intolerances.

Taste, texture and mixability

Bulk Nutrients' Pea Protein Isolate has a smooth texture, mixes well and produces a slightly thicker than normal shake.

It's also perfect to add to a smoothie or shake with fresh fruits like berries and bananas or immune-boosting yoghurt.

Combining with other proteins

Pea Protein Isolate is often combined with Rice Protein Isolate to achieve a superior amino acid profile than either protein alone.

Pea Protein Isolate is low in the sulfurous amino acids (cysteine and methionine) but rich in lysine; in contrast, Rice Protein Isolate is low in lysine but has high levels of both cysteine and methionine. The combination of Rice and Pea Protein Isolate also helps mitigate the strong, chalky taste of Rice Protein on its own.

This combination is considered by many to be among the best tasting protein powders and we have combined them optimally in our popular Earth Protein product.

We take extreme care when producing our vegan proteins, we have dedicated lines and machinery for our non dairy products to reduce the chance of cross contamination. Please be aware that we produce dairy proteins in the same facility, and despite our efforts there is a chance cross contamination (at very small levels) can occur

Bulk nutrients pea protein - I like it, especially the flavoured one

  • Disgusting

Taste disgusting and it’s so think it’s almost cake batter!

Disappointed that the supplier has changed! I much prefer the taste of the old one. This one is a bit thicker and a different taste. Good enough though and still much cheaper than other places.

  • Bang for your buck

Bulk nutrients pea protein is absolutely delicious. The quality of the product is great, the texture is awesome and for what you pay it is remarkable. For myself, it holds everything in the one product

  • Best Pea Protein Ever

Posted by on May 15, 2018

We are vegetarians and after about 5 years of regular consumption, can confirm this is the best Pea Protein ever.

  • not too different to the old one

Posted by on May 07, 2018

was a little worried about using this new one as I had grown used to the old one - however, I have been pleasantly surprised. Still tastes great - just a little more on the yellow side - but I can live with that.

  • pretty good

not the best pea protein I have ever had but pretty good. easy mix, nice flavour for a pea protein

  • New Taste

Posted by on Apr 04, 2018

Can't decide if I prefer the old or new flavour. The new flavour tastes a little more chemically. Amazing value for money, I prefer to mix it in my morning smoothie with banana and loads of spinach.

  • Great value !

I ordered a kilo of the chocolate and vanilla pea proteins, amazing value for money, good consistency and texture and mixes in well. only issue i have is the taste, both flavours need a little bit more flavouring as they tasted very similar to just regular unflavoured pea proteins i’ve had in the past. but great product overall !

  • Great product, great price

Posted by on Mar 12, 2018

Thank you for such a great price, speedy service and a good tasting product. I ordered it Sunday evening and am eating it for lunch Tuesday!
I am not a vegetarian, but my doctor prescribed pea protein for my gut bacteria. So I make it into a blended soup with home-made beef stock, rice congee, agar, (all prescribed by doctor), some fat, butternut pumpkin and spinach leaves.
    You’ve won a fan.
