Whey Hot - Slow release beverage - Multi Packs Reviews
Ordered a 12 pack mixed after my previous one that was solely Chai ran out and I was very impressed by the chocolate flavour. The taste resembles the hot chocolate by Cadbury and is so delicious. However, as many other comments have mentioned, the texture can, and should really be improved because it feels like baby food if not stirred long enough.
Whey Hot tastes amazing, however mixing it in a cup with a spoon (like regular hot chocolate) does not work as well as one would like. Instead, mixing it with a shaker as you would regular protein then pouring into a cup and microwaving is what I found works best.
Whey hot is way awesome. My favourite flavour is chocolate. But the chai is nice. Im just a chocolate fiend. Soooo tasty. Just really mix as per instructions otherwise its lumpy.
Perfect for these cold winter nights. And perfect as bed time slow release protein.
This is a great drink before bed with good macros.
Loved the Chai, easy to make, Chocolate was good but Chai was better
I bought the multi-packs and first tried the vanilla chai. I misread the instructions and made the "paste" with boiling water, which cooked the whey and resulted in large, cottage-cheese style clumps when I added the remainder of the hot water. I then tried the chocolate one using cold water to make the paste, and gradually adding 2tbsp or so of boiling water to the mix each time stirring, until the cup was full. You essentially have to temper the whey, like when making custard, otherwise the proteins will cook and become like clumpy scrambled eggs.
The sweetness, creaminess and flavour was great. No weird protein aftertaste. I would just like the chocolate flavour to be a little more heavy-hitting, it's pretty mild. Will probably add extra cacao and spices when making in future. No bloating from this product either. Would definitely buy again!
Absolutely obsessed with the Vanilla Chai!
I add a tad of cinnamon before stirring the first 2Tbsp of cold liquid... Reminds me of a not so clean Chai Latte.
I don't know why people struggle with the mixing bit. Have had no issues with mixing although I do use a fork and not a spoon. Both flavours are surprisingly good, but my favourite is chocolate.
Love the taste of the chocholate flavour, I put it to mixer frist and then add hot water,it does not clumble and have a creamy texture. I feel I dont need any desert after drinking the Whey Hot after dinner. Bit pricy comparing to the bulk, I am wondering if the normal whey would take the hot water. I tried it cold, good too.
